Recently, the U.S Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a press release announcing the addition of three companies importing seafood, aluminum, and footwear products to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) Entity List. The addition of these commodities to the entity list shows the expansion and enforcement of the DHS strategy on UFLPA. Currently, there are 68 companies on the entity list covering various sectors.
Effective June 12, 2024, the following companies will be prohibited from importing to the United States due to the rebuttable presumption under UFLPA: Dongguan Oasis Shoes Co., Ltd. (also known as Dongguan Oasis Shoe Industry Col, Ltd.; Dongguan Luzhou Shoes Co., Ltd.; and Dongguan Lvzhou Shoes Co., Ltd.) Shandong Meijia Group Co., Ltd. (also known as Rizhao Meijia Group), and Xinjiang Shenhou Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd.
